Safeguarding during closures

The school’s Safeguarding Team will continue to monitor the welfare of our students and will do so in the event of them having to isolate or during any potential closure in the future. 

If you have a safeguarding concern to report during the period of school closure, please contact us via School Enquiries  -  enquiries@bexleygs.co.uk

If you have an urgent concern about a young person, please contact Bexley Children’s Services directly on 0208 303 7777 or Greenwich Children’s Services on 020 8921 3172.

Should students require support for safeguarding or child protection issues during the school closure there are a number of sources of support:

www.qwell.io - A free, anonymous, online mental health and wellbeing support service, available to all those aged 26 and over in the region

In the event that you are unable to gain advice and support from any of these sources and are concerned about a child's safety contact the emergency services.

Kooth.com - online support

We would like to make you all aware of a service called Kooth. Kooth.com is a confidential support service for all young people in South East London. It is a safe means of accessing mental health and wellbeing support.  

Counsellors are available from 12noon to 10pm on weekdays and 6pm to 10 pm at weekends, every single day of the year. Outside counselling hours’ you can message our team and get support by the next day.

When you register with Kooth you will have support available now and in the future. Join the Kooth community and you can also read and post articles, forums and discussion boards too.
