Jack Petchey Achievement Award
Bexley Grammar participates in the Jack Petchey Achievement Award Scheme, which recognises outstanding young people aged 11-25 in London and Essex who go "above and beyond", rewarding them with a certificate, pin badge and £300 to spend on a group project of their choice for their school.
Nine awards are distributed to students each year: winners are nominated by their peers, explaining why they believe they deserve to win, and from these, the Headteacher chooses the final winner. Each of the awards pools from a different area of our school life and community to ensure an even distribution and fair opportunity: the six houses, and one from each Key Stage.
The Leader Award recognises a teacher or member of staff, giving students the opportunity to celebrate and thank an adult at the school, and to recognise their commitment and dedication to supporting young people. From numerous nominations, one is chosen.
