  • Wellbeing Award for Schools 2020-2023

    We are delighted to report that BGS has now successfully gained the wellbeing award for schools.  Many thanks to those parents, governors, students and staff who attended meetings with the external assessor during the verification day, prior to the half term break and many thanks to all members of our community who continue to work to support wellbeing and positive mental health.

    Our school has long been supported by the Jack Petchey Foundation.  Every year our students take part in the 'Speak Out Challenge' and staff and students are also nominated for awards to celebrate all their hard work and achievements.

  • Year 10 visit to 'Wicked'

    On Wednesday 5th February, the Year 10 Music students along with a couple of Sixth Formers went to see the West End musical 'Wicked', particularly to see the song 'Defying Gravity' which is one of the set pieces we have to study.  It was a fantastic evening full of amazing singing and some awesome instrumentalists in the pit to really bring the show to life.
