RSC Analyst Competition 2025 – Celebrating Our Sixth Form Chemists!

We are proud to share that three teams of Year 12 students took part in this year’s Royal Society of Chemistry Analyst Competition.

The event challenged students with real-world analytical problems, pushing them to apply their practical skills, teamwork, and chemical knowledge to a professional standard.

Representing our school this year were:

  • Team A: Alisha Ahmad, Davina Gordynska and Jesse Oshogwe
  • Team B: Lucy Gowing, Amy Loison and Basika Rai
  • Team C: Arthur Chikovsky, Ethan Hardie and Adeleke Gabriel

A huge congratulations to Team C, who achieved the top result among our entries and showed excellent attention to detail and scientific thinking throughout!

The judges were especially impressed with the precision and perseverance shown during the competition. One comment from the official feedback read:

“The quality of the titrations was excellent this year - you’ve done yourselves proud working through the complex calculations.”

This is a fantastic reflection of the high standards our students hold themselves to in the lab. Well done to all participants; you represented the school with distinction, and we are incredibly proud of your achievement!
