Best Ever IB Success for BGS Students!
Congratulations to our Year 13 IB students and their teachers on our outstanding IB results, which were released to students on Monday 6th July 2026. We're delighted that the cohort achieved our highest average point score of 35 points and best ever IB results. 50% of our students' grades were awarded at level 7-6 and 85% at level 7-5, which are equivalent to A/A* and A*/B at A Level (see the table below).
As well as excellent outcomes across our biggest ever cohort, there were many outstanding individual achievements:
- The average point score of students awarded the IBDP was 35 (equivalent to 3 A Level A* grades)
- 57 students scored 38+ points (22% of the cohort)
- 37 students scored 40+ points (14% of the cohort)
- 11 students scored 42+ points (in the top 5% of IBDP students globally)
- 3 students scored 43 points
- 2 students scored 44 points
- 1 student scored 45 points (in the top 0.5% of IBDP students globally)
In destination news, the Sixth Form Team is working hard to help confirm places on many university courses and degree apprenticeships, while some students have already secured employment.
