Gold School Games Mark for 2026 - 2027

We are delighted that Bexley Grammar has retained its Gold School Games Mark for 2026–27.

The School Games Mark is a government-led award scheme, launched in 2012 and facilitated by the Youth Sport Trust, which recognises schools for their commitment to developing competitive sport both within school and across the wider community.

This year, our commitment to providing students with a wider range of sporting opportunities has seen increased participation in badminton, tennis, cricket and golf competitions, alongside expanded inclusive sports provision through dodgeball and table tennis events. The introduction of our sailing club has also been a particular highlight, and we are thrilled that more students than ever before have attended our co-curricular sports clubs.

Feedback gathered through the BGS Active Lives survey has also helped us identify areas students would like to see developed further, with girls’ basketball already a key priority for 2026–27.

We are incredibly grateful to all students who have shown such enthusiasm and commitment to co-curricular sport throughout the year so far, but if you have not yet attended a sports club, we would love to see you there. Everyone is always welcome, and with the weather improving, there has never been a better time to get involved!
