PE Sports Report 11/6/25

Cricket News
A superb 56 not out from skipper Ethan wasn’t quite enough for us to get over the line against Chis & Sid on Tuesday, unfortunately.
Some good performances, and a great contribution from Anthony with 2 wickets and a superb catch were enough for us to enjoy.
Mr Lines, Head of PE
A terrific first wicket partnership of 159 steered our U14s to victory at the Kent plate against Rochester Maths on Wednesday. 83* from Atharva and 53* from Ethan meant it took only 14 overs to beat a good total.
Well-played boys!

girls' Cricket
It was an action-packed sports afternoon for our girls, starting with a competitive cricket match against Cleeve Park. Our U13 champions, currently preparing for their finals at the end of June, showcased their skill and determination with an impressive win, scoring 266 runs to Cleeve Park’s 254. Big-hitting performances with plenty of 4s and 6s helped build the total, while some early wickets sealed the victory. Well done, ladies!
The excitement continued with a Year 8 rounders mini-tournament. The girls played brilliantly, securing a convincing win against Cleeve Park, 8.5–1. Caitlin was voted Player of the Match for her consistent and accurate bowling, while Lina stood out with her excellent fielding skills.
A tightly contested match against Trinity followed, ending in a narrow loss by just half a rounder. Despite the result, there were standout performances from Aarohi, who was named Player of the Match for her powerful batting that kept the opposition on their toes, and Vania, who impressed with her sharp catching and quick reactions at 4th base.
A fantastic afternoon of sport, teamwork, and school spirit—well done to all involved!

Rounders
It was a mixed day of results at the Year 9 Bexley tournament, with the team securing two wins and two losses. Victories came against BA and Trinity, thanks to some excellent fielding and teamwork. However, strong performances from Townley and CSGS, particularly in their batting, saw them edge past us in closely contested matches. A respectable 3rd place overall!
Special mention to Zara, who impressed with her sharp batting and precision in the field – a standout performance on the day.

Year 8 rounders tournament
Congratulations to our Year 8 rounders team for securing 3rd place in the borough tournament! After a narrow and thrilling win against Townley, the team’s fantastic fielding featuring plenty of impressive catches ensured them the bronze!
Best of luck to all our Year 8 students as they prepare for their exams and revision. Keep up the great work!
