Year 10 Sports Leaders

Our Year 10 sports leaders were fantastic on Wednesday, delivering a tennis festival to Year 3 and 4 students from local primary schools. The leaders were so enthusiastic and energetic, and the primary school children loved them!

Well done to them all from a very proud PE department.

London Summer Long Course Championships

Congratulations to Amrit Lalli (Year 7) who was selected to swim in the London Summer Long Course Championships at the London Aquatics Centre at the end of April. Amrit competed in the 50m butterfly, securing 6th place in a hugely competitive event.

Well done Amrit!

Year 7 Cricket

The Year 7 cricket team came up a very strong New Beacon team at the Kent plate on Monday, ultimately losing by 9 wickets. Lots more cricket knowledge has been picked up, and we look forward to the next game in the league.

Year 8 rounders

The Year 8s took part in a mini-rounders tournament against Bexleyheath Academy and Trinity. BGS managed to field 2 teams. Great play by all, securing 2nd and 3rd places. More matches to follow straight after half-term.

Well done ladies!
