Bexley Football Tournament
The Year 7 Girls’ Football team attended a Bexley Tournament at Goals on Wednesday. The team played 10 games against local schools in an intense afternoon of football. The team went from strength to strength as the afternoon went on and played some great football. We managed to secure four wins and two draws, whilst 4 teams managed to take the win over us. A huge well done to all the players for their determination and fantastic attitude. A special mention to Vania and Elodie for being our top goalscorers on the day!

The team talk was all about pushing on and converting our chances. We knew that we wanted to score early in order to take this game away from Harvey Grammar, and we did with one of George's huge throws, capitalised on by Maks. 2-1 Bexley.

A testament to their dedication to training this year, not one, not two, but three Year 7 teams entered into the borough netball tournament against 13 teams. Hosted at our home ground, and in freezing conditions, there were smiles all round as our BGS 1 Team achieved a respectable 4th place. Well done ladies and thank you to our sports prefects Sophie, Beth and Mateja for their team management on the day.

The Year 8s headed to Chis and Sid in what can only be described as arctic conditions. The girls were a pleasure to take; polite, hard-working and great ambassadors for BGS. A great result, placed them 3rd and 5th overall. Well done all!
