Science Black History Month Trail

As part of Black History Month, Year 7 students took part in a Science Trail to discover historic Black figures who have made remarkable contributions to science.

Students followed clues hidden around the school to identify scientists such as Katherine Johnson, Granville Woods, and Elijah McCoy, among others.

Congratulations to 7CPB, who were the first to complete the trail and correctly identify all the scientists! Their quick thinking and scientific knowledge earned them a well-deserved prize of chocolates.

The trail was a fantastic way to celebrate the achievements of Black scientists, inspire curiosity, and highlight the important contributions of underrepresented figures in STEAM. Well done to all Year 7 students who took part, and we hope this encourages everyone to continue exploring the rich history of science!
