Earth Day 2025

Years 7, 8 and 9 celebrated Earth Day, which was held globally on the 22nd of April.

Earth Day is an annual global event held to promote environmental protection, sustainability, and awareness of climate and nature.

The Geography department felt it was important to celebrate our planet and raise awareness of the challenges it faces through a series of specially designed lessons for our KS3 classes.

Year 7 were tasked to create bookmarks which will be laminated for their use - these will remind them of the need to be mindful of our planet when they read their favourite books!  Whilst Year 8 created paired collages using old National Geographic magazines, Year 9 brought in used tote bags or t-shirts and designed wearable slogans which could be seen when out and about.

Look at the amazing efforts made by some of our students below, and please give massive congratulations to all our students for completing their creative Earth Day tasks—their dedication to protecting our planet is truly inspiring!
