In 2019 for the first time year 8 Geography students took part in a sponsored silence to raise awareness and money for the toilet twinning programme run by the charity “toilet twinning”. This was a huge success and has resulted in over 12  toilets and 2 toilet blocks  being sponsored by year 8 BGS students . This had a direct link to the work that students were doing about the continent of Africa, and encouraged students to understand disparities between their own life and that of others.
