Trinity Schools Book Awards Ceremony

On Thursday, I took a group of students to the TSBA ceremony at the City of London School, where they were able to watch a Q&A with the authors of the books we had been reading in our book club.

We also got to see David Farr and Brianna Bourne win the awards for the best book in the different age groups. In addition, one of our students, Pranshi, received an award for 'Best Creative response' for her video monologue about The Book of Stolen Dreams, which was presented by the author himself. It was a wonderful afternoon and a lovely way to finish our book club.

We went on the TBSA trip to the City of London School, where a group of authors joined us for the day. During the talk, they each shared insights into the books they had written and the journeys behind them. We learnt about the creative process, the challenges they faced, and what inspired each story. The highlight was when we discovered that the winner of the TBSA 2026 Year 7 Book Award was “The Book of Stolen Dreams” by David Farr. David Farr was also at school earlier this year when he visited Year 7, so it was really special to see him again. After the talk, we all enjoyed some snacks, and the whole space was beautifully set up, making it a really fun and memorable experience for everyone.

Sehajileen, Year 7

Last Thursday, we went on a school trip to the City of London School, where the TSBA Awards Ceremony was taking place. It was lots of fun, and we even got to see the authors of the books we read in book club!

If I could, I'd definitely go again, and I think you all should join the next book club; it's such a fun experience!
