Standing Tall

Standing up straight can hit anxiety where it hurts.

How? Because when we are feeling anxious, we tend to make ourselves small; it's a way of shrinking away from the world and hoping nobody notices us. Instead, make like a superhero and stand tall – recode your body and stand tall and wide so that your body senses a feeling of control.

Try bringing your attention to your posture at frequent intervals during the day. If you are slumping forward, straighten up and take a deep breath to really push those anxious thoughts and feelings away.
