Combined Technician in Design Technology (DT) and Science
5 days / 30 hours per week / 38 weeks per year
FTE Salary Bexley Scale 6 £29,346 - £30,630 pa
Actual Salary* £20,814 - 21,711 pa (dependent on experience)
We seek to appoint a Combined Technician in Design Technology and Science to join an outstanding team of technicians providing support for the teaching of Design Technology and Science from KS3 to KS5, commencing September 2025. The successful candidate will provide support and technical assistance to teachers, other technicians and students in meeting the practical needs of the curriculum within the Design Technology and Science departments. Relevant experience of working in a school environment is desirable but not essential. Training is also available for specialist tasks.
This permanent post is term-time only and 30 hours per week. Your main responsibilities will include preparing and providing practical resources for DT and Science lessons. You will take an active role in ensuring all health and safety procedures are maintained and labs/workshops/prep rooms are kept in an organised state and remain a safe environment to work in. You will support students with their practical skills and help them progress academically by enhancing their enthusiasm for these two exciting subjects.
