GCSE Music Showcase

Students from our GCSE cohort put together an excellent showcase last Tuesday in front of friends and family. Under the direction of Mrs Casling, students put together their own repertoire and rehearsal schedules which culminated in an afternoon of eclectic music; from Preludes to Paramore, Megadeth to Moszkowski and performances on a whole range of instruments.

Well done to everyone involved.

Mrs Eacott, Music Department

Congratulations Caitlin!

Congratulations to Caitlin Gamadeku, Year 7 who recently passed the Violin Grade 4 Exams (with distinction).

Worry and 'What ifs'

The next time you find yourself worrying about what's to come and all the 'what ifs', bring yourself back to the present. Bring your mind to where your body is:

  • Where are you right now?
  • What do you see?
  • What do you hear?
  • What do you smell?

Your mind will always try to pull you there, your job is to use everything around you to bring it back here.

This will help free you from the trap of living in the future.

GCSE Contingency Sessions Summer 2026

Please note, the awarding bodies have designated the morning and afternoon sessions of Wednesday 24th June 2026 as ‘contingency sessions’.

These contingency sessions are designed to be used in the event of national or significant local disruption to examinations. This means that all exam candidates must be available to sit exams from the date of their first exam until Wednesday 24th June 2026. This decision is not a school decision and does apply to all candidates in all schools.

Lost Property

Please may we remind parents/carers to write your child's name on all of their belongings so that we can return any lost items to them. If belongings are handed in to us, and they are named, we will contact the student directly, so please ask your child to check their school email account to see if we have messaged them. Please click on the link here to report any lost property or email us directly via reception@bexleygs.co.uk.

Thank you
