When it feels like everything is going wrong

When it feels like everything is going wrong, please cling onto the following:

  1. This feeling won't last forever.
  2. You have what it takes to do this.
  3. You are so capable.
  4. Growth is uncomfortable, but it will pass.
  5. You deserve to be happy.

Remember: be kind to the person you are right now, even if it's not yet who you want to be.

GCSE Contingency Sessions Summer 2026

Please note, the awarding bodies have designated the morning and afternoon sessions of Wednesday 24th June 2026 as ‘contingency sessions’.

These contingency sessions are designed to be used in the event of national or significant local disruption to examinations. This means that all exam candidates must be available to sit exams from the date of their first exam until Wednesday 24th June 2026. This decision is not a school decision and does apply to all candidates in all schools.

The Senior Prefect Team ~ Winter Raffle

Dear Parent/Carer of BGS students!

The Bexley Grammar School Senior Prefect Team is holding a Winter Raffle supporting the Welling Salvation Army Food Bank. The event will take place between Monday 8th December and Friday 19th December, and tickets will be available for students to purchase at school events or during form time.

We would be extremely grateful if you/your organisation would consider donating any items or vouchers that could be included as a prize in the raffle. Any contribution will directly support our fundraising efforts to help our local community and assist those in need.

These prizes can be delivered to us via our school reception or sent to us online at seniorprefect@bexleygs.co.uk.

For further information or questions, please don't hesitate to contact us!

Many thanks,

The Senior Prefect Team
