Change the input and you can change the outcome

When your thoughts get loud, remember this...

Your brain doesn't believe what's true; it believes what is familiar. And what's familiar, is what you repeat.

Your thoughts shape your feelings, your feelings drive your actions and your actions shape your identity. This is how your brain wires who you think you are.

BUT...

Your brain is changeable. Say something often enough... with emotion... and your brain rewires for it.

That's why self-talk isn't harmless. It's powerful.

The way you speak to yourself becomes the way you feel about yourself.

Your brain doesn't know the difference between real and imagined, so visualising the calm, confident, capable version of you? That's not fluff. That's neuroscience.

You don't own your thoughts; they visit. You don't have to believe them.

If you wouldn't say it to your best friend, don't say it to yourself either!

Change the input... and you can change the outcome.

GCSE Contingency Sessions Summer 2026

Please note, the awarding bodies have designated the morning and afternoon sessions of Wednesday 24th June 2026 as ‘contingency sessions’.

These contingency sessions are designed to be used in the event of national or significant local disruption to examinations. This means that all exam candidates must be available to sit exams from the date of their first exam until Wednesday 24th June 2026. This decision is not a school decision and does apply to all candidates in all schools.

Lost Property

2nd reminder

The photos below show water bottles that have been found around the school in various locations. If your child has recently lost their water bottle, please ask them to check if it has been handed in at the Reception. Any that are not collected by lunchtime next Friday 21st November will be disposed of at the end of the school day.

Please may we remind parents/carers to write your child's name on all of their belongings so that we can return any lost items to them. If belongings are handed in to us, and they are named, we will contact the student directly, so please ask your child to check their school email account to see if we have messaged them.

Please click on the link here to report lost property or email us directly via
reception@bexleygs.co.uk.
