We are one of the happiest schools in the UK ~ It's official!

Dear Parents / Carers,

By now you're probably aware that BGS featured very prominently in last weekend's Sunday Times article about the happiest schools in the UK, based on parental feedback.

I'd like to again stress how proud the staff are of this accolade. As I said to several parents / carers at yesterday's Progress Evening, there is something very special in knowing that as well as being successful, the members of our community enjoy their time at the school and will hopefully leave with many happy memories.

Neurodiversity Celebration Week

Next week, 17th - 23nd March, is the worldwide Neurodiversity Celebration Week, which serves as a reminder that no matter our differences and challenges, everyone has their own strengths and talents. Neurodiversity Celebration Week celebrates the strengths, talents and recognises the hard work, resilience and determination of people with learning differences, who, sadly, can often be misunderstood. Bexley Grammar School will be celebrating Neurodiversity Celebration week, with a variety of activities - look out for the updates in the coming newsletters! There is www.neurodiversityweek.com/ which has a lot of information about it, neurological differences, resources and a whole schedule of free, virtual events (see below) that can be signed up for via https://www.neurodiversityweek.com/events.

Lost Property

We still have various items of lost property in Reception.  Please may we remind parents/carers to write your child's name on all of their belongings so that we can return any lost items to them. If belongings are handed in to us, and they are named, we will contact the student directly, so please ask your child to check their school email account to see if we have messaged them.

Please click on the link here to report lost property or email us directly via reception@bexleygs.co.uk.
