Know yourself, grow yourself!

Children’s Mental Health Week 2025 takes place from the 3rd-9th February and explores the importance of self-awareness and expressing emotions. During this week, students across the country will be discovering how getting to know who they are can help them to build resilience, to grow and to develop.

During this week, students will explore the PERMA model of wellbeing put forward by Positive Psychologist Martin Seligman, and learn his theory about how Positive emotions, Engagement, Relationships, Meaning and Achievement can all contribute to a sense of wellbeing. They will also look at a list of twenty-four character strengths and consider which of these correspond to their own personal strengths.

Place2Be has also offered these free resources and some ideas for creative activities to explore emotions.
