Entrance to Bexley Grammar School in September 2019

(For children born between 1 September 2007 and 31 August 2008 inclusive)

Children who will start at secondary school in September 2019 can sit the Bexley selection tests in September 2018 when they are in Year 6 of primary school. Those deemed selective can be considered for a place at Bexley Grammar School.

Arrangements for tests for entry in September 2019

Registration for the tests will start on Tuesday 1st May 2018 and close at midnight on Sunday 8th July 2018 and you will need to register via the online registration site on the Bexley Borough website from 1st May. All children, including those attending primary schools in Bexley, must be registered online. Late applications will not be accepted.

The test sessions will be on Tuesday 11th or Wednesday 12th September 2018. All registered children who attend a primary school in Bexley will sit the test on the morning of 12th September, either in their own school or in a test centre. All other children will be invited to one morning or afternoon test session on either 11th or 12th September at a secondary school in Bexley.

Results from the Selection Tests are sent to parents during the middle of October and by 31st October you should have completed a Common Application Form (CAF) and returned it to your own Local Authority. The CAF is where you list all the schools, in preference, that you wish for your child to attend. Letters will be sent, from your Local Authority, at the beginning of March detailing which school your child is being offered.
