A glimpse into the talent of our students...
“On 10th March 2016, BGS students made the news for real by participating in BBC News School Report.
Students researched and produced their own news stories, but they added an extra dimension – they created all their stories in a foreign language!
Please see the videos on this page to see their hard work.”
Students have created video, audio and text based news reports. Click here to read an article in Spanish about Spain’s involvement in the Rio Olympics.
Year 9 CAS Project
For the past 2 terms, Year 9 have undertaken a project to support their development as individuals and help to prepare them for IB. CAS; Creativity, Action, Service, has meant students have carried out a variety of activities to complete a total of at least 40 hours of CAS. Students then had to produce a journal to show their work, which has led to some stunning entries. Prizes were given for the winners in the year group, as well as notable individuals in each form and honourable mentions for those who had put in a fantastic amount of effort on their project. The year winners were Wai-Heen Chan (9TMO), Arianne Gonzales (9JED) and Lucile Oster (9KAG) - their work is on loop at the top of this page. Mr Martin

The workshop, organised by the Geography Department, gave IB and A level Geography students the chance to develop their subject knowledge and practice and hone their cross- curricular skills such as research, team work, presentation, working to deadlines and dealing with the time, finance and working constraint that industry professions face regularly. The industry professionals were very impressed with the quality of all the final presentation made, but our congratulations go to Prospects Ltd, (Eesha, Riya, Emma, Tom, Keval) who the judges felt had really understood the complexities of the project and the local community voice, had a clear grasp of the finances and delivered a very polished, detailed presentation using their built environment.
